Itinerary
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m / 4,264ft)
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax, recover from your journey, and explore the vibrant streets of Thamel. In the evening, we will host a short briefing about the trek.

Kathmandu Sightseeing – Explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks. You will visit sacred sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, all listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This immersive tour provides insight into Nepal's rich history, art, and religion.

Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (150m / 490ft) – 1 Hour
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Nepalgunj, a bustling city in the western Terai region near the Indian border. Explore the local market or relax at your hotel in preparation for your mountain flight the following day.

Fly from Nepalgunj to Jumla (2,540m / 8,334ft) – 20 Minutes
Take an early morning scenic flight to Jumla, one of the most remote districts in Nepal. This is the starting point of your trek. Spend the afternoon exploring the quaint town and acclimatizing to the elevation.

Trek from Jumla to Chere Chaur (3,055m / 10,023ft)
The trek begins with a gentle uphill climb through beautiful forests and traditional villages. You will pass through Khalanga Bazaar and follow a ridge to Chere Chaur, a peaceful alpine meadow with stunning mountain views.

Chere Chaur to Chalachaur (2,980m / 9,777ft)
Today's trail takes you through alpine forests and high pastures. After crossing the Jaljala Pass (3,580m), the path descends through lush terrain to reach Chalachaur, a small grazing area where you will set camp or stay in basic lodges.

Chalachaur to Sinja Valley (2,490m)
Descend through dense pine forests and follow the Sinja Khola (river). Sinja Valley is historically significant as the ancient capital of the Khas Kingdom. You can explore old temples and the remains of palaces here.

Sinja to Ghorosingha (3,050m / 10,007ft)
Follow the trail along the Ghatta Khola and climb steadily through forested terrain. After crossing a suspension bridge and ascending steep trails, reach Ghorosingha, located near the entrance to Rara National Park.

Ghorosingha to Rara Lake (3,010m / 9,876ft)
Today’s trek is the most rewarding. Ascend through rhododendron and spruce forests to reach Rara Lake, the highlight of the journey. The first sight of the azure lake surrounded by forested hills and snow-capped peaks is unforgettable.

Explore Rara Lake
Spend the day exploring the tranquil surroundings of Rara Lake. You can hike to Murma Top (3,700m) for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountain ranges, including glimpses of Api and Saipal. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake and observe local flora and fauna.

Rara Lake to Pina (2,440m / 8,006ft)
Leave the lakeside and descend through pine forests and quaint villages. The trail leads to Pina, a picturesque village offering insights into rural life in the Karnali region.

Pina to Bumra (2,850m / 9,351ft)
Continue trekking through lush forests and traditional settlements. You will cross Ghurchi Lagna Pass (3,480m) before descending to Bumra, also known as Nauri Ghat. This village is known for its friendly locals and beautiful scenery.

Trek Ends – Bumra to Jumla (2,540m / 8,334ft)
Today marks the end of your trek as you return to Jumla, retracing your steps through forest trails and suspension bridges. Celebrate the completion of your journey.

Fly to Nepalgunj and onward to Kathmandu
Take an early morning flight from Jumla to Nepalgunj, followed by a connecting flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
